The Needling is an induction therapy of collagen used in the regeneration of the skin surface. It is a non-surgical procedure and non-ablative, minimally invasive, performed by stimulating the skin with a roller covered in tiny needles to create the controlled micro-lesions whose active healing a regeneration process within tissues. The fact organsimo to fill these micro-injuries activates the production of new collagen and elastin in the papillary dermis. In addition, the formation of new capillaries and improves the supply of fresh blood and oxygen.
These processes called neovascularization and neocollagenesis after treatment leading to the reduction of scars, skin rejuvenation and improvement of its structure, firmness, hydration and brightness. The needles used vary from 1 to 3 mm in length. Unlike chemical peels, dermabrasion and laser treatments, the needling causes minimal damage to the skin while ensuring highly effective results. The needling is actually used for:
- Reduction of scars (including hypertrophic scarring) caused by acne, surgery or thermal burns
- Stretch marks
- Fine lines and deep wrinkles
- Toning areas of sagging skin (face and body)
The procedure is generally well tolerated and accepted by patients and can also be performed on areas of the skin particularly delicate and not suitable as laser resurfacing such as the area closest to the eyes. The patient can resume normal activities within a few days, depending on the depth of penetration of the needles. The recovery of social life is extremely fast with this type of treatment in fact the redness fades within 24-48 hours.
