TREATMENT: CORRECTIONS SCARS AND STRETCH MARKS WITH LASER FRACTIONATED
TYPE: OUTPATIENT
PAIN: NEGLIGIBLE
AFTER TREATMENT: AVOID EXPOSURE SOLAR FOR AT LEAST 15-20 DAYS
Stretch marks are like scars of skin lesions caused by defibration of the dermis and epidermis. For stretch marks that shredding is mainly due to 'insufficient elastic resistance of the skin to excessive mechanical traction especially in certain conditions of hormonal changes. significant changes in weight, pregnancy and fast physical development are the typical factors that cause the "break" of the skin resulting in the appearance of stretch marks.
Several scientific studies have shown that a valid help in the treatment of scars and stretch marks is represented by the "resurfacing" treatment of the skin through the use of fractionated laser. This technology allows, through a special computerized scanner, to split the laser beam into many small bundles of light that, brought to a precise depth into the dermis, determine two simultaneous phenomena:
- shrinkage of the collagen fibers that make up "the scaffolding" structural and elastic of our skin, causing the rapprochement margins and making it less obvious cosmetic problem.
- stimulating the production of new collagen and elastic fibers by "fibroblasts" calls specialized cells inducing the cutaneous restructuring of the damaged dermis.
The treatment consists of 4-7 subsequent sessions, depending on the extent of the problem, spaced 30-40 days apart. At each session the skin is cleansed, disinfected and sometimes pre-treated with anesthetic cream. The laser energy is then delivered directly to each stretch mark or scar. Such treatment can cause a moderate discomfort and / or a slight burning sensation for about 24 hours and redness for about ten days.
While considering some individual variability, results, long-term, they are generally considered to be very satisfactory with a clear reduction of the aesthetic problem until its complete disappearance in milder cases.
